    Sony announced today that they are releasing the Playstation 3 Slim in September. The new Playstation 3 slim is smaller and lighter, has a 120GB HDD, and packs “all the same features” of the regular PS3. The new slim version also consumes 34 percent less power and takes up 32 percent less space. Retail price is $300 with a release date coming soon

    ack in 2004, four years after first launching the PlayStation 2, Sony brought out a new, much more compact PS2. Timed to come out just as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was hitting stores, the redesigned console helped breath new life into the PS2 franchise.     Needless to say, Sony hopes that a trimmed-down--and less expensive--PS3 Slim will similarly invigorate sales of the PlayStation 3, which has lagged behind the Nintendo Wii and the Microsoft Xbox 360 and has taken some of the luster off the PlayStation brand (even as earlier versions of the PS3 received high marks from this publication). To many industry observers, the Slim PS3 represents a moment of reckoning for the PS3--a chance at redemption if you will--and clearly some serious engineering has gone into the creation of Sony's latest black gaming box and media player.

    The ribbon-cutting ceremony is just part of an afternoon of free family fun, sports, music, and activities. From 1:00pm-4:00pm, the five-field sports complex at the southern end of the park will feature the San Jose Earthquake’s inflatable “dribble zone,” lacrosse skills, youth soccer clinics, a tot play area with a parachute and hula hoops, and three open fields for rotating youth and adult walk-up soccer games.

    The Crocker Amazon Soccer Fields renovation is the fifth project of the Playfields Initiative – a $46,000,000 partnership between the City Fields Foundation and SF Recreation and Park to renovate a selection of City athletic fields with synthetic turf and lights to increase the amount of play at those facilities.

    Established by Bob, Bill and John Fisher in 2005, the City Fields Foundation is a private, non-profit organization working to address the chronic shortage of playfields in San Francisco and to help the City equitably provide sports facilities for youth and adult athletic leagues, school teams and physical education classes, and informal neighborhood play.

I do believe this is an original concept, particularly when they keep their word about the call back you entered. But how could you do this when college professors have been checking research papers for years, and have probably read every single controversial subject students can possibly think of? With the right guidelines, finding a controversial topic may actually be easier than you think.
    
    Remember: controversy begins when somebody or a group of people disagrees on something. People would not be interested in reading recycled or tired old topics that are generally accepted now as disagreeable. If you want your research paper to have a controversial appeal, discuss the unpopular side of a matter. For instance, arguing that Jesus Christ is a better teacher than Mahatma Gandhi might not be enough to win interest, because the former claims divinity while the latter does not. Having a healthy confrontation with family and friends about your topic is also a preparation for your defense. Professors and readers will definitely raise questions; when that happens you already have an idea of what to say.

    Social Factors
    
    While some scholars have claimed that there is no such thing as society, this is rubbish. When J H Darcy said 'fevour will spread' [1] she must have been referning to amazon.con. No symbol is more potent than amazon.con in society today. It cleary plays a significant role amongst the developing middle classes.
    
    Did I mention how lovely amazon.con is? To put it simply, people like amazon.con.
    
    Economic Factors
    
    We no longer live in a world which barters 'I'll give you three cows for that hat, it’s lovely.' Our existance is a generation which cries 'Hat - $20.' We shall examine the Spanish-Armada model, a classic economic system of analysis.

    Is amazon.con politically correct, in every sense? Each man, woman and to a lesser extent, child, must make up their own mind.
    
    Conclusion
    
    To reiterate, amazon.con is both a need and a want. It sings a new song, puts out 'fires', and most importantly it perseveres.

It's best to let them have your number and wait for them to call you instead of trying to call them. You won't be stuck with a merry-go-round of questions, pressing buttons that don't even apply to your situation. You will be allowed to leave the time as either "currently" or in 5, 10 or 15 minutes. In addition, you get the option to send an email message if you like, which you enter directly on their website. I do believe this is an original concept, particularly when they keep their word about the call back you entered. It doesn't bother me when they say it takes a full day, just so they don't exceed the deadline they set themselves. This is something I find really bothersome. They'll do what they say because they are reliable. Amazon's site is easy to navigate, and provides ready access to the information you want. The safety of buying from an established and reliable company outweighs the inconvenience of paying a few more dollars. Soccer is a game of fundamentals. Whether the student is a field player or goalkeeper all players need to possess ball control, vision and must be able to execute play with speed.  The player having confidence in their skills and composure over the ball will maximize their enjoyment of the game.
    
    We specialize in high level performance academic youth and adult player development and competitive club team development, premier competition with multiple divisions of organized youth and adult amateur league play.  

    
    

    33 Youth and 92 adult competitive players practice at Pittsburg Central Park, Pittsburg City Park, and Mills College Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 5pm-7pm year round. 

    
    

    Three youth teams compete three seasons (Summer, Sprint and Fall) in Norcal Premier Soccer a US Club sanctioned league. three adult teams compete in BASA Adult League a US Club sanctioned league from March to December, two teams compete in SAN FRANCISCO SOCCER FOOTBALL LEAGUE from March until November.  two teams compete in the BASA Cup mid January to mid February

Players will learn the same techniques that our staff used to succeed every day at the professional level.     You know what bothers me is that the news keeps sending a report from the government of how many FILED claims of unemployment each month and what bothers me is that the numbers does not include those like my friend who is no longer eligible because she's been on it for too long cos she can't find a job so they won't give her any more so she dosn't count in the numbers they report each month of unemployment. So- that tells me the numbers are way higher than the government wants to admit and I don't know how my friend is supposed to live without unemployment, right now she's getting by on a wing and a prayer and her friends have been helping her make it but they can't do that forever so what does the government want- her to end up on the street cos she IS one rent payment away from that, so I wonder how many others are out there not able to get unemployment anymore who are not in the count and how many others are one rent payment away from the street and how many others are only holding in there by the grace of god and friends and how many others havn't been able to get a job in 2 years and I've watched her go on job interviews and send out resumes!  Are you one of those not counted? Speak up!

Famed violinist Jean-Luc Ponty recommended Mads to Grammy- and Emmy-winning bassist and film composer, Stanley Clarke.  At the time, Stanley was forming a new band, looking for a violinist, but had not found the perfect fit, that is, until he listened to Mads' demo CD.  Mads auditioned in Los Angeles and was invited to join the Stanley Clarke five-piece band.  But just prior to the first tour with Stanley in April 2003, Mads also auditioned for the Thelonious Monk Institute.  Mads auditioned before a panel of jazz experts, which included Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Terrence Blanchard.  He was selected as the only violinist ever to join the institute, and of the 200 applicants, only six were selected that year. They say everything happens in threes, and the third opportunity presented itself when twice Grammy-nominated composer and Turtle Island String Quartet founder David Balakrishnan called.  David was auditioning for a new violist for two concerts in July 2003.  Mads accepted the offer, despite the fact that he had never played the viola.  Over the next ten days, Mads learned both the new instrument and music just in time for first rehearsal.  Both concerts were successful, and Mads was offered a permanent position as the new violist.  As a result of joining this quartet, Mads declined the full scholarship Master of Music program from the Thelonious Monk Institute. Mads Tolling regularly tours with both Stanley Clarke and Turtle Island Quartet.  In 2006, as part of Turtle Island Quartet, Mads won his first Grammy for Best Classical Crossover album "4+Four."  Mads is on Stanley Clarke's 2007 release "The Toys of Men."  And in 2008, Mads won his second Turtle Island Quartet Grammy for "A Love Supreme - The Legacy of John Coltrane."  He has received Denmark's Sankt Annae's Award for Musical Excellence as well as grants from Queen Margaret, the Sonning Foundation, and the Berklee Elvin Jones Award.  He has performed with Paquito d'Rivera, Al Di Meola, Lenny White, Kenny Barron, Joe Lovano, Stefon Harris, The Assad Brothers and Leo Kottke.  Mads has performed in Canada, Mexico, Barbados, South Africa, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Norway, Holland, England, Northern Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine, and Australia at venues such as The Library of Congress, The Strathmore Mansion, The Hollywood Bowl, Concord Pavilion, Merkin Hall, Herbst Theatre, North Sea Jazz Festival, San Miguel Classical Festival, Prinzregent Theatre, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, and Ronnie Scotts. • "It’s About Sea Life” Benefit

    The “It’s About Sea Life” benefit will take place at the Aquarium of the Bay on Friday, November 21st from 6:00pm - 12midnight.  Tickets are now on sale for $75 at www.itsaboutsealife.org.  The following Saturday morning, November 22^nd at 8:30am, there will be a Paddle-Out at Crissy Field East Beach parking lot.  The Paddle-Out is free to the public.  The proceeds from the events will benefit three non-profit organizations – SurfAid International, Save the Waves Coalition and Surfrider Foundation.

    At the Friday, November 21st benefit, the three non-profit organizations will show short videos about their ongoing environmental efforts to protect sea life.  The night will also include access to the Aquarium of the Bay and an ocean-themed auction.  Local bands (Twang Fest Band & Guns for San Sebastian Band) are expected to play at the benefit.  

    The morning after the benefit, November 22nd at 8:30am, local surfers, ocean conservationists and sea life enthusiasts, will perform a ceremonial Paddle-Out at Crissy Field.  The Paddle-Out will be followed by an opportunity to speak to the different sea life protection and environmental non-profit organization representatives about their cause and quest to preserve ocean and sea life.  Celebrity guests, musicians, artists, designers and pro-surfers are expected to attend.

    Set in a parallel universe (although one bearing curious similarities to our own), MOCK THE VOTE explores the behind-the-scenes intrigue surrounding a hotly contested presidential campaign.  The pressing domestic issue of the day is the Kibble Crisis (the skyrocketing cost of dog food), and in foreign policy the country is in danger of declaring war on Bermuda due to a difference of opinion regarding the proper length of dress trousers.   Candidates Mildred Fillmore and Taylor Zachary battle for the White House, and no holds are barred – especially not if they get a laugh. 
    
    A silent auction will feature one-of-a-kind items, including the opportunity to bid on a walk-on role in a future Lamplighters production.  All tickets include a champagne reception sponsored by Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards and Segura Viudas Aria following the show.
    
    The Lamplighters’ annual Gala is an original show, and a spoof on whatever seems to be in the news, or on any crazy idea that somebody has had, set to the music of Sir Arthur Sullivan.
    
    Lamplighters Music Theatre, recognized as one of the top Gilbert and Sullivan companies in the world, is one of the oldest continuously performing theatres in the Bay Area.  Since the company’s founding in 1952, Lamplighters Music Theatre has been dedicated to upholding the tradition of light opera and musical theatre, particularly through the production of the operettas of W.S.
