      Establishing an account
      When you place your initial order, you will establish an account. It stores the details on your credit or debit card, so your future orders go quicker. Not only can you put several mailing addresses on your account at Amazon.com, it also usually doesn't matter if you have an item shipped to an address that is is no way related to the address on your card or other method of payment.

      This is a matter of little concern, perhaps, but I have yet to have anything fraudulent be charged to my account. Except for the entirely superfluous purchases my wife made!

      Every time you log on to Amazon, it keeps track of your buying habits and tracks down items related to those that you have purchased to later give you helpful suggestions reviews that may make it easier for you to shop overall. In addition, they currently offer "Plog" alerts delivered to your account.

      Reviews
      Reviews regarding the latest products, again according to your buying habits. Many of them are interesting to read, and have user comments about how useful they are. While reviews can be of considerable help in product selection, they don't actually pay out in cash. E-opinions allow for people to feel comfortable about giving honest reviews, even if they're negative, since they aren't from the company itself, so it's best to do a cross-reference with them if you can. I saw several negative comments on Amazon com. Because of these comments, I avoided the purchase, as it seemed likely that I would face the same problems if I used the item the way I had wanted to.

      Shipping and Handling
      You can get FREE shipping on some items at Amazon.com. (usually within 1 business week, but a little extra time may be required for some items). I never really became aware of it taking 5 business days, normally 3 or so. Might as well use FREE shipping where you can, unless there is some kind of emergency, because you can save a lot of money.

      For instance: if you bought some blank DVD's for $26.99, you can pick the free shipping option which is 5-9 business days, or pay an extra $7.35 to speed up the process with 3-5 days. $13.45 is the rate for 3 business days, or a rate of $23.45 to ship overnight (Tuesday is the day the orders for the weekend show up).

      Watch out because Amazon.com uses other vendors sometimes, and the products may not qualify for free shipping. While purchasing something online that comes from a 3rd party just seems a little too risky for me personally, but I will buy items from them directly.

      Amazon's Packaging
      Amazon.com takes great care in packaging goods for shipment. Always use proper packing materials, which may include packing peanuts or bubble wrap (not the edible type, however I believe my kid gobbled one up, even though he doesn't touch healthy food... Go figure).

      The Customer Service
      From what I know, the Customer Service system that Amazon has worked out is smooth running and appealing to me personally, though I haven't had the need to ever use it. It's best to let them have your number and wait for them to call you instead of trying to call them. You won't be stuck with a merry-go-round of questions, pressing buttons that don't even apply to your situation. You will be allowed to leave the time as either "currently" or in 5, 10 or 15 minutes.

      In addition, you get the option to send an email message if you like, which you enter directly on their website. I do believe this is an original concept, particularly when they keep their word about the call back you entered. It doesn't bother me when they say it takes a full day, just so they don't exceed the deadline they set themselves. This is something I find really bothersome. They'll do what they say because they are reliable. Amazon's site is easy to navigate, and provides ready access to the information you want.

      The safety of buying from an established and reliable company outweighs the inconvenience of paying a few more dollars.

The crew find themselves in the midst of a never-ending war between factions and to make matters worse a strange portal keeps sucking people out to who-knows-where. Can they save the planet and the ship by ending the war or will the dreaded BORG assimilate the Savoyards and wipe out all traces of their culture?       Patrons are invited to come early to browse the many items in our silent auction. After the full-length show the audience are invited to join the costumed cast and crew in the green room for a champagne party.
